Our Golf Professionals

Jimmy Logue II, Director of Golf

From Canton, Ohio, Jimmy Logue returned to Wedgewood as our head professional in November 2011. Having served as Wedgewood’s assistant golf pro from 2002-2004, Jimmy spent six seasons as the head pro at Springfield Country Club (2005-2011) before returning to the Wedgewood family.

Having achieved various levels of certification, Jimmy enjoys working with members of all ages and abilities. A US Kids Certified Instructor and TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Level 3 Certified Junior Coach, Jimmy is also a TPI Level 3 certified Golf Instructor. He also was named the 2013-14 No. 3 Instructor in Ohio by Golf Digest. Putting an emphasis on helping member’s identify physical limitations in their golf swing, he teams regularly with Wedgewood fitness instructors to offer group golf fitness classes.

The son of long-time Canton Brookside Country Club head pro, Jim Logue Sr., Jimmy grew up around the game of golf, playing collegiately for the nationally ranked Kent State Golden Flashes (1992-1996). In addition to his duties as the Secretary of the Southern Ohio PGA Chapter, Jimmy plays in numerous Pro-Am events with Wedgewood members and competes in several professional events when time allows.

He and wife Gina reside in Dublin with their son, Jimmy Logue III.

Peter Zellmer, Head Golf Professional

A Class A PGA Professional since 2006, Peter comes to Wedgewood after six years as the lead assistant under Bill Stines at nearby Scioto Country Club. Peter is excited for the 2015 golf season at Wedgwood Golf & Country Club and is eager to meet all of the Wedgewood Members over the coming months!
Peter is responsible for tournament operations, junior golf, club fittings and daily golf shop and merchandising practices. When not busy with day-to-day programs and operations, he can often be found on the lesson tee teaching to men, women, and junior players. Peter ultimately made the decision to become a PGA Professional due to his passion for the game of golf, his desire to succeed within the golf industry, and most importantly, his passion for teaching the game to others. He feels strongly that introducing and growing the game of golf is the most important thing a PGA Professional has the privilege to do.
The son of Dr. Jim and Elayne Zellmer, Peter was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, before moving to Paducah, Kentucky, at a young age. He has a twin brother Edward, a younger brother James, and a younger sister, Mary Catherine. Peter married Elizabeth Semder in March of 2012 and they have a young son named Cameron. Peter is excited to teach Cameron the game of golf, but first things first - he must learn to stand up!

He and wife Krysten reside in nearby Dublin with their son Ty and unruly dog Holly. Brian looks forward to returning to Wedgewood and helping our members on the links.
