Dan Gage, PGA Director of Golf

Dan comes to us following an extensive career in the private club industry. Most recently Dan was the 1st Assistant Golf Professional at the Heritage Club in Mason, Ohio. Dan has also worked at some of the best clubs in Cincinnati including Kenwood and Coldstream.
 
Dan grew up in a small town in southeastern Ohio before attending college at the University of Cincinnati. Dan graduated with degrees in Marketing and Management while also playing on the golf team.  Dan is an accomplished player with a playing resume that includes qualifying for the PGA Club Professional National Championship in 2016 & 2017.

Dan’s wife, Laurie, is currently an Assistant Principal for the Columbus City School district. They have two sons, Jacob and Toby.

John Visgak, Superintendent

John has joined Wedgewood as only its second Superintendent in club history. He is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and a graduate of the Ohio State University Turfgrass Management program in 2012. He spent a portion of his college internship working for Joe Noppenberger at Wedgewood. Having past experience at Fox Chapel Golf Club (PA) and Ridgewood Country Club (NJ), most recently, John was the 1st Assistant Superintendent at Hudson National Golf Club (NY), a notable top-100 golf course.
Steve Robison, Assistant Professional, PGA

Steven Robison grew up in Canton, Ohio and has been around the game of golf his entire life. He is a graduate of Jackson High School and Malone University. Steve grew up playing golf at Firestone Country Club and Brookside Country Club. He attended The University of Akron for one year and was a member of the Men’s Golf Team. He then transferred to Malone University in Canton, Ohio to finish off his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and his collegiate golf career. He graduated in December of 2012. Upon graduation, Steve moved to Columbus and began his golf professional career at Brookside Golf & Country Club.

Steve’s love of the game of golf began at a very young age. Growing up Steve learned to play the game from his father, Gary Robison, who was a P.G.A. Professional in the Northern Ohio P.G.A. Section for many years. In Steve’s college years he participated in the 2010 NAIA National Tournament at TPC Deer Run in Silvis, Illinois.

Dustin Sites, Assistant Golf Professional

Dustin joins Wedgewood after spending the last two years as an Assistant Golf Professional at the famous Pete Dye designed, Harbour Town Golf Links. While an Assistant, Dustin also participated in the caddy program that the resort offered, doing more than 50 loops on the famed course. Before Harbour town, Dustin spent his winter months at the well-known Berkeley Hall Country Club, a Tom Fazio design which has been the home to The Players Amateur since 2012.

When in South Carolina, Dustin attended school at the Professional Golfers Career College where he pursued a degree in Professional Golf Management & Turf Management.

Dustin has a love and passion for golf that was instilled in him by his Grandfather at the age of 3. He enjoys teaching to all ages, and looks forward to connecting with the membership through the game of golf..

Brian Unk, Director of Instruction

Brian's past experience includes a number of both professional and personal achievements. He played college golf at John Carroll University where he was a 3 time All-American and Jack Nicklaus award winner.
As a dedicated golf professional for the past 15 years, his career has been full of professional and playing accomplishments as well, such as: 
  • 3 time winner on PGA Tour Canada
  • Holds PGA Tour Canada record for lowest 72-hole tournament score (-28 under)
  • 6 seasons as Head Golf Coach at St. Charles
  • Trackman Level 2 Certified Professional and TPI Golf Level 1 Certified Professional
Brian's teaching style strives to teach common fundamentals and golf principles, while letting each player keep or incorporate their unique style. He has experience working with a variety of age groups and skill levels and will bring a tremendous amount of golf knowledge to share with our membership. Brian also has his own Trackman that he can incorporate into lessons for those interested!
